A member that gathers lateral forces and transfers them into resisting frames or bracing.

Corrosivity category · 腐蚀等级

An environmental classification used to inform corrosion-protection selection.

D

Dead load · 恒载

The self-weight of the structure and permanently attached components.

Deflection · 挠度

Movement of a member under load, usually measured relative to its unloaded position.

Design life · 设计使用年限

The period assumed for design decisions under stated maintenance conditions; not a warranty.

Downpipe · 落水管

A vertical pipe that conveys water from a gutter or channel to a discharge point.

Drainage fall · 排水坡度

A deliberate slope that encourages water to flow toward an outlet.

E

Egress · 逃生出口

A code-regulated path or opening used to leave a building safely.

Embedment · 埋深

The depth an anchor or foundation element extends into its supporting material.

Exposure category · 风暴露类别

A description of surrounding terrain and obstructions used in wind design.

Extrusion · 挤压型材

A continuous profile formed by forcing material, commonly aluminum, through a shaped die.

F

Fascia · 边梁饰面

An edge element or finish concealing roof, gutter or frame components.

Flashing · 泛水

A water-shedding transition protecting joints between a structure and a building envelope.

Footing · 基础底座

A foundation element that spreads structural reactions into soil.

Freestanding · 独立式

Structurally independent from an adjacent building.

G

Gazebo · 凉亭

A freestanding outdoor structure commonly understood to have a roof and defined plan form.

Glazing · 玻璃系统

Glass or transparent/translucent panels and their supporting system.

Gutter · 天沟

A channel that collects and conveys water from a roof or louver field.

H

Heat-affected zone · 热影响区

Material adjacent to a weld whose properties were changed by welding heat.

I

Impermeable roof · 不透水屋面

A roof surface intended to prevent rainfall passing through under its design conditions.

L

Ledger · 墙托梁

A horizontal member attached to a building to support an attached structure.

Live load · 活荷载

A variable load arising from use, maintenance or code-defined occupancy effects.

Louver · 百叶

A slat or blade that may be fixed or adjustable to control light, air or rain.

M

Motor limit · 电机限位

A programmed or mechanical endpoint controlling travel of a motorized component.

Overturning · 倾覆

Rotational action that tends to tip a structure about an edge of its support.

P

Pavilion · 亭式建筑

A freestanding roofed structure, often larger or more enclosed than a pergola.

Pergola · 凉亭/廊架

An outdoor framework of posts and overhead members; legal definitions vary by jurisdiction and roof condition.
